Figure, table and section ledger

Editorial contribution type: Theory & formal analysis (primary).

Layout extraction, not a required paper template. Counts are distinct caption labels; a multi-panel figure counts once. Section spans are estimated from heading positions, including floats and whitespace. Method and limitations.

Section-by-section lengths and source pages

The title/abstract/front matter precede the first numbered heading. A span ends at the next detected top-level heading, not at the last sentence; end-page whitespace is included. References and statements are listed separately. These are not measurements of text-only or artwork area.

    Argument and organization

    1. 1 Introduction; 2 Related Work

Separates point accuracy from confidence-region coverage and compactness.

    2. 3 Method

Explains deterministic keypoint distributions, held-out conformal calibration and Jacobian-based pose propagation.

    3. 4 Experiment; 5 Conclusions

Reports keypoint and pose coverage separately, then region volumes, speed and the Gaussian propagation limitation.

    Problem, claim and contribution

The motivation notes that a very large region can cover truth yet be practically useless, so coverage and compactness must be evaluated together.

    Sections 1 and 4.2, physical pp.1–2,5–6 · Main paper

    Argument and section order

Calibration data and nonconformity scores are defined before the nonlinear PnP propagation, separating two stages whose guarantees are not interchangeable.

    Sections 3.2–3.3, pp.4–5 · Main paper

    Figures, captions and visual explanation

The overview tracks point estimates, predicted uncertainty, calibrated regions and propagated pose regions with distinct marks; the final boxplots show volume distributions rather than only averages.

    Figure 2, p.3; Figure 5, p.8 · Main paper

    Tables, comparisons and evidence

The volume table labels rotation/translation units, exceeded-threshold counts and unavailable cells; the discussion explicitly records a coverage-versus-volume tradeoff on LMO translation.

    Table 4, p.8; Section 4.3, p.7 · Main paper

    Appendix and reproducibility

Per-object keypoint coverage, additional accuracy comparisons and further region statistics are assigned to supplementary tables and discussion, not inspected.

    Section 4.3, pp.6,8 · Main paper

    Clarity and writing conventions

The conclusion acknowledges that Gaussian assumptions through nonlinear 2D-to-6D transformation challenge pose-level coverage guarantees.

    Section 5, p.8 · Main paper

What to reuse—and what not to infer

Transferable lesson: Evaluate confidence regions with coverage, size and rejected/oversized-case counts, and distinguish calibrated input guarantees from downstream approximations.

Boundary: The overview’s same-coverage language is stronger than the final stated limitation. Conformal keypoint coverage does not automatically prove pose coverage after local Gaussian/Jacobian propagation; the reported LMO translation coverage is below the nominal 90%, and this writing scan provides no safety certification.

Apply this lesson using the argument and evidence worksheet.

Writing-focused manuscript scan + selected visuals inspected
    Main text
Writing-oriented scan across the main manuscript, physical PDF pp.1–8, covering framing, section progression, method explanations, captions, comparison protocols and concluding scope; reference boundary checked. Selected full-page rasters were inspected. Not exhaustive line-by-line reading, proof verification or experimental reproduction.
    Appendix / supplement
Main-paper appendix/supplement references were checked. A separate supplementary source is linked in the inventory but was not retrieved or inspected; its contents are not included in the reading or visual-page counts.
