Figure, table and section ledger

Editorial contribution type: Architecture & representation (primary).

Layout extraction, not a required paper template. Counts are distinct caption labels; a multi-panel figure counts once. Section spans are estimated from heading positions, including floats and whitespace. Method and limitations.

Section-by-section lengths and source pages

The title/abstract/front matter precede the first numbered heading. A span ends at the next detected top-level heading, not at the last sentence; end-page whitespace is included. References and statements are listed separately. These are not measurements of text-only or artwork area.

Separate source files—excluded from canonical-PDF totals

A separate author version may repeat main text and references. Whole-file lengths and counts are not extra appendix material and are never added to the canonical PDF totals. Read the study's source scope for which sections received substantive reading versus layout inspection.

    Additional source 1

Separate PDF (or ZIP containing it): whole-file layout of 4 physical pages; 3 detected figures and 5 tables. These may include overlapping main-text material.

Located appendix only: starts on physical p.1; ≈ 3.94 page-equivalents, 3 figure labels and 5 table labels. This interval is distinct from the whole file.

    Argument and organization

    1. Problem and contribution

Figure 2 makes temporal overfitting concrete: fitting observed frames can still produce ghosting at an intermediate time. The introduction turns that failure into requirements for temporal support, consistency and changing visibility.

    2. Argument sequence

Representation changes are separated from the training strategy: temporal opacity and smooth trajectories precede supervision, duration/relocation and initialization. Evaluation then uses held-out intermediate frames to test the failure motivating the method.

    3. Evidence and verification

The experiment paragraph distinguishes DNA-Rendering from the captured Stage-Capture data and explains holding out every other frame for the latter. Table 1 restricts metrics to foreground regions so static background does not dominate temporal reconstruction scores.

    Figures, captions and visual explanation

The early three-frame illustration isolates the observed-versus-interpolated distinction. A later pipeline explains the continuous representation, while qualitative comparisons and ablations show the particular artifacts each design decision targets.

    Appendix and reproducibility

The supplement gives training parameters and per-scene results and explicitly discusses dependence on flow quality and difficulty at extreme temporal sparsity. Video references offer temporal evidence, but those videos are outside this writing scan.

    Clarity and writing conventions

The comparison prose explains why models can fit inputs yet fail the intermediate target, rather than simply announcing a better average. Captions distinguish cases with quantitative ground truth from illustrative novel-time renderings.

What to reuse—and what not to infer

Transferable lesson: Use a minimal failure illustration to define the generalization axis, then hold out observations along that same axis and report metrics where the relevant motion occurs.

Boundary: Continuous-time querying does not guarantee reliable recovery from arbitrarily low frame rates; distinguish tested interpolation, qualitative extrapolation and dependence on motion estimates.

Apply this lesson using the argument and evidence worksheet.
