ECCV 2026 — rules and template

Read requirements separately from examples

Section titled “Read requirements separately from examples”

These are verified 2026 requirements, not policies for a future edition. Public manuscript appearance cannot establish the original submission rules. ECCV uses a single-column LNCS main paper; its two-column rebuttal is a separate format. The later 15-page final-paper announcement supersedes older 14-page template wording for that phase only.

Conflicts and unknowns

Fourteen in the template, fifteen in the later final announcement

The supplied template still describes 14 pages for final publication. The official June 23 camera-ready announcement explicitly increases this to 15 and locates acknowledgments on page 15. Use the later phase-specific instruction, not an undocumented universal 15-page rule.

Review anonymity versus template drafting examples

The template includes an acknowledgment section as a drafting example, but the author FAQ disallows acknowledgments in the review paper. Restore them only for the final phase.

Word recommendation and submission-field character limit

Approximately 150 words is a template recommendation, not a hard limit. The FAQ separately discusses a 4000-character OpenReview abstract field.

Do not import the attached-appendix convention

The main submission has no appendix. Separate supporting PDFs may use other neatly formatted layouts, according to the FAQ.
