Figure, table and section ledger

Editorial contribution type: Efficiency, inference & systems (primary).

Layout extraction, not a required paper template. Counts are distinct caption labels; a multi-panel figure counts once. Section spans are estimated from heading positions, including floats and whitespace. Method and limitations.

Source-bound correction: Source-checked 2026-10-02: a cited paper title on reference page 11 is not Appendix A. Restore the true Appendix A heading on physical page 15; B-D start on pages 18, 24 and 26.

Section-by-section lengths and source pages

The title/abstract/front matter precede the first numbered heading. A span ends at the next detected top-level heading, not at the last sentence; end-page whitespace is included. References and statements are listed separately. These are not measurements of text-only or artwork area.

Argument and organization

  1. Problem and contribution

The method is motivated by a mismatch between frequency-dependent image formation and uniform white-noise injection. The proposed contribution is a training-free inference sampler, so the changed operation and the unchanged pretrained network can be explained separately.

  2. Argument sequence

Diffusion preliminaries, spectral bias and an energy-transfer argument lead into a timestep- and frequency-dependent noise schedule. Experiments then test class-conditional generation, text-to-image transfer and targeted schedule ablations, followed by an explicit low-step limitation.

  3. Evidence and verification

Two tables separate model architecture from solver order and retain FID, sFID, Inception Score, precision and recall with metric directions. Some recall entries favor a baseline, so the table supports a multidimensional quality comparison rather than an unqualified win on every measure.

Argument and section order

Figures, captions and visual explanation

The spectral-gap figure pairs log-scale power spectra with a signed error plot relative to real images. Insets reveal low-, mid- and high-frequency deviations that would be hard to see on the global curve alone; line styles and the ground-truth reference help interpret what changed.

Tables, comparisons and evidence

Two tables separate model architecture from solver order and retain FID, sFID, Inception Score, precision and recall with metric directions. Some recall entries favor a baseline, so the table supports a multidimensional quality comparison rather than an unqualified win on every measure.

Appendix and reproducibility

Energy constraints and spectral arguments are separated from numerical implementation. The supplement records frequency-band construction, hyperparameters, integration schemes, step-count sensitivity and same-seed qualitative samples. This is a useful chain from theoretical motivation to reproducible sampler substitution.

Clarity and writing conventions

The main text gives intermediate frequency-domain diagnostics before benchmark scores. Strong terms such as optimality or dramatic superiority should not be copied as a style rule: the stated limitations retain the SDE restriction and acknowledge that ODEs remain preferable for ultra-fast low-step inference.

What to reuse—and what not to infer

Transferable lesson: Explain an inference intervention with a diagnostic in the same domain as its mechanism, then test the quality trade-offs and the operating regimes where it is not advantageous.

Boundary: Training-free does not mean cost-free or faster at every operating point. The source reports spectral and quality benefits under specific stochastic solvers; its theoretical assumptions and broad optimality language were not independently verified.

Apply this lesson using the argument and evidence worksheet.
